Sorry if I offended you. INstead of stating it the way that you did, youcould have jsut asked what debt management was. It seemed to me like you were making assumptions. Maybe not. Text is harder to understand than voice.
On my debt management program, I have managed to pay off 3 credit cards. There was a 4th credit card that I was unable to put on debt management, but that was easily taken care of, and was paid off at the early part of this year. Keeping up with the statements isn't hard. I have heard a lot of bad stuff from other users of DMP's - but I am perfectly satisifed with mine. So I might spend more money paying the involuntary fee to the DMP. I pay a lot less in fees to the credit cards, so either way, it all seems to balance out. And it's working for me.
For my phone, I get free nights and weekends, free t-mobile to t-mobile, and 1500 anytime minutes. I never go over my 1500 that I pay for because hte majority of my phone calls are to and from people that are on t-mobile network - like my bf and his sister.
If I chose to, I could switch in the next month or so. However, T-mobile only had me pay $75.00 for a start-up cost, because of my credit. I would rather have a cell phone than a landline. Landlines are too much of a bother for me. Nobody would be able to reach me, because I am not home enough to get calls. Another factor would be cell service. IN my house, right now, I am lucky if I get 3 cars. If I go outside my house, I can hold a call for some length of time. The only cell phone service I have found out that gets any kind of service in my neighborhood, and inside my house is Cingular. I am not thrilled about Cingular - I prefer T-mobile over them. Verizon doesn't tickle me pink, either. Nextel - forget it. I am pretty satisfied with T-mobile, other than bad cell service in my house, but it's getting better, since I e-mailed them about the issue. Outisde I get 4 bars (top on my phone is 5 bars). And that's why I stick with the phone service I have.
