hey, how do you all feel about what happened in the midterms.
They say Wisconsin is sooooo liberal but I'd say we are pretty moderate. We do have a democratic senator who just won re-election (Herb Kohl) and we have Dem Gov. (Jim Doyle) but in my district I voted against my representative, IMHO, he's been doing a lousy job and is an extremist conservative, and even though he's sooooooo hated, he won re-election because he's a household name (James Sensenbrenner). We have (I believe) a republican controlled state gov. and the conservative initiatives passed.
As for the national outlook, of course, I'm happy. I think now there's going to be some accountablity and some checks and balances. I think for anything to get done both parties will have to work together, which is a good thing.

The world didn't end the day after, so I think we're safe.
It was time for a change, and we got it. Hopefully those in charge won't screw up this chance to make a difference.

I agree with Icon. While I'm not supporter of the Dems, the GOP wasn't getting it done. I'm sure they'll only screw it up worse so let them have it for awhile.

well, I don't think the country can get any worse than how it has been the last six years. I would really like to see the Dems take control and make some positive changes. If they screw up or get corrupt we really need to start thinking seriously about making third parties viable candidates.
